Conditions of participation and insurance - Motorbikes
1. Conditions of participation
Every participant in a driving safety course on the Sachsenring has to have a valid driving licence at the time of the event.
Participants use their own cars in driving safety training. Under winter conditions, all cars used for training purposes have to be equipped with winter tyres. If desired, we will be pleased to organise rental cars for you at the current rates.
Every driver may be accompanied by one person. The Sachsenring Road Safety Centre will not take out any accident insurance for passengers. During driving safety training, accompanying persons are not permitted to drive a car themselves on the grounds of the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre.
Orders given by the instructors of the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre have to be obeyed. Repeated gross violation of orders given by the instructors may lead to the exclusion of the respective person from further training. The excluded person will have no claim whatsoever to demand any reimbursement of the course fee. Moreover, the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre will also accept no liability for any resulting damage in such a case.
The organiser or instructor can cancel, stop or postpone the training if less than 8 participants have registered, or
the weather conditions do not permit the training without endangering the participants or the cars used, or
technical reasons make an unhindered training impossible.
If the safety training is cancelled or postponed, participants may either ask for the refund of any training costs paid or choose an alternative day.
2. Conditions of insurance
Motorcycle safety trainings on the Sachsenring are NOT INSURABLE as well as sports drivers' trainings, returning to the starting line on the training tracks and changing to another track.
All not-standard parts added to the vewhicle's exterior such as additional lights, boxes etc. are also NOT INSURABLE.
It is only allowed to drive on the Sachsenring with Motorbikes which are not louder than 90 db under full power.
3. Conditions of payment and cancellation
The invoice amount has to be paid in full and without deductions within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
If the customer fails to appear for the booked training without having effectively cancelled the contract in advance, the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre is entitled to the whole gross price agreed on.
Cancellation of the contract by the participant has to be in writing and must be sent by mail or by fax. The period of notice begins on the day on which the notice is received by the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre. In case of doubt, the customer has to prove that the notice has been received at the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre.
Periods of notice
If the customer cancels the contract...
within 14 days of making the booking, no cancellation fee will be charged.
up to 9 months before the agreed date of the event, the customer will be charged 20% of the contracted gross price.
Between 8 and 7 months before the agreed date, the customere will be charged 35%,
between 6 months and 90 days before the agreed date, the customer will be charged 50%.
between 90 and 30 days before the agreed date, the customer will be charged 75%.
as from the 29th day before the agreed date, the customer will have to pay 90% of the agreed-on gross price.
The client is at liberty to prove that the damage to the Sachsenring Road Safety Centre caused by his/her cancellation respectively absence without prior cancellation was either nonexistent or substantially lower than the agreed-on cancellation fees. If the client is able to provide conclusive proof of such claim, the lump-sum fee will be reduced accordingly or waived completely.
