Although he trained to become a heating system technician, Uwe Wächtler has always had a keen interest in motorsports and in the 'Fun of Driving'! For many years he was a successful motorcycle racer and won various titles and prizes. This 'rife inside' and his talent to drive all kinds of vehicles finally prompted him to start a new career.
In 1996 he was one of the first to join our then small team of instructors. Due to his diligence and drive he worked his way up to become SENIOR TRAINER on the Sachsenring within just two years. As such he is responsible for planning and coordinating the run of all events on the grounds of the Sachsenring. This gives him ample opportunity to draw on his rich experience in all areas of driving techniques - whether it's cars, motorcycles or lorries.
Uwe Wächtler is also in charge of basic and advanced training for our instructor's teams, thus guaranteeing a continuously high quality of the driving safety trainings on the Sachsenring.
